Michael Culver

Michael Culver started his career as a public defender, representing clients in cases ranging from public intoxication to murder. Those years in the courtroom gave him a working command of the justice system and sharpened the trial and negotiation skills he relies on today.

He also served as an Administrative Law Judge, where he learned that strong representation means seeing the same set of facts from every angle. That habit of analyzing a case from multiple perspectives now helps the team at Mitchell & Danoff anticipate what clients need, so they stay a step ahead of the defense.

In early 2024, Michael turned his courtroom experience toward a new mission: representing people forced to sue large insurance companies to recover what they are owed after someone else’s negligence.

In the first year of practicing civil litigation, he kept hearing the same story from clients about the intimidating resources these huge insurance companies bring to bear. More importantly, he was hearing how difficult it is for injured people to face the cold and calculating claims representatives and lawyers of the insurance companies after they file a claim.

Michael compares the fight to David and Goliath: “Insurance companies have tremendous resources to fight the little guy. It truly is a modern-day David versus Goliath scenario. But if you remember the story, David was fearless, clever and prepared. Using these tools, he defeated Goliath. I fight, in and out of the courtroom, just like David.”
